The furnace room area also received sound insulation walls for noise reduction. LED lights are all on dimmers for more light control. A closet with mirror doors was installed to keep the space looking big as well as create space for seasonal clothes and shoes. All the doors, baseboard and casing installed match the upstairs floors to keep the continuity and help the new space feel less like a basement living area.
